Tonight, eight survivors from our community told their stories on national television. And the world listened.

We've been sitting with that for the last hour, trying to process it.

I want to start by thanking Pamela Brown and her entire journalistic team. Pam approached this story with the kind of care and rigor it deserved. She gave genuine, patient attention to what these women actually experienced and why it matters. You saw that tonight on your screens, and it came through in person, too.

To everyone who watched tonight, shared the documentary, sent a message, or simply held space for the people who spoke -- thank you. Thank you for showing up.

And to everyone who's been asking what comes next --

We built something for you in partnership with Project 21:12: deconstructingdoug.com

The documentary did an incredible job giving the world an introduction into the world of Christian Nationalism. This website goes much deeper into what Christian Nationalism actually is, what life in its communities can be like, what it wants to change about your life and your children's lives, and what you can do about it. Whatever your starting point -- survivor, skeptic, concerned Christian, or just someone who watched CNN tonight and wants to understand -- there's something there for you.

The conversation that started tonight mustn't have to end when the broadcast does. This website is intended to give more information and help folks dig deeper into this issue. The past we survived is the future they're trying to create for our countrymen. We can't stand by and let it happen without speaking about what we have seen and heard.

Thank you for listening.

Yours,

Margaret + the Deconstruction Doulas team
